Share content across guides
Write information once in a shared content library, and choose which guides show each section.

Once you manage more than a couple of properties, repeating the same information becomes the main cost of keeping guides current.
Start with the content library
Guides only share content when they use the same content library. Two guides pointed at the same library automatically share its categories and subcategories, and editing a section updates it everywhere that library is used. See Content libraries explained if you have not set this up yet.
Choosing which guides see a section
Within a shared library, an individual section can still be limited to only some of the guides using it. When you edit a section, choose whether it shows in every guide on that library or only the ones you select — useful when most of your properties share a library but one section (a specific parking arrangement, say) only applies to some of them.
What is worth sharing
Anything true across your properties:
- Your check-out routine
- How you handle parcels and deliveries
- Cancellation or damage policies
- Your contact details and how to reach you
- Recommendations that serve several properties in the same area
Use a variable for the one or two facts inside a shared sentence that do differ, such as a check-in time — write the sentence once, and each guide fills in its own value.
What should stay per-property
Anything a guest could act on wrongly if it belonged to a different building:
- Door and access instructions
- Wi-Fi details
- Parking
- Bin day and recycling arrangements
- Appliance instructions
The test is simple: if following it at the wrong property would cause a problem, either keep it out of the shared section, limit that section to the one guide it applies to, or use a variable for the part that differs.
Why it matters
The saving is not in writing, it is in maintenance. When a check-out procedure changes, shared content means one edit rather than twenty — and twenty edits is how guides drift out of date.
