Guide settings explained
A walk through every tab on a guide's settings page, what each one changes and which ones guests actually notice.
Updated
Each guide has its own settings, reached by opening the guide from Guides.
The settings tabs
Settings are grouped by what you came to do:
- General — the property and the stay: name, web address, address, host contact details, check-in and check-out times, Wi-Fi, and which content library the guide uses. Deleting the guide is at the bottom.
- Appearance — what guests see: cover image, logo and theme colour.
- Flo Translations — turn on guest translations, set your guide's source language and choose which languages guests can switch to.
- Sharing — the guide's QR code, the share actions, and which guests have opened the links you sent.
- Downloads — the offline PDF, QR codes and ready-to-print signs.
The tab you are on is part of the web address, so refreshing stays put, your browser's Back button works, and you can bookmark or share a link to one tab.
General and Appearance are two halves of one form with one Save changes button: edits on both tabs save together, and moving between them never loses what you have typed.
Name and web address
The guide name appears at the top of the guide and in your dashboard list. Guests see it, so match the property name on their booking. The web address is the part after welcomeflo.com — between 2 and 40 characters, lowercase letters and numbers only, changeable once every 30 days, with the old address redirecting for 90 days afterwards.
Property address
Used for maps and directions. Getting this right matters more than anything else on the page — a wrong address sends guests to the wrong street.
Host contact details
The name, phone and email guests see. Separate from your account profile — see set your host contact details.
Check-in and check-out times
Setting either turns on the home-screen display automatically. Defaults are 3:00 PM and 10:00 AM, and you can choose 12-hour or 24-hour format.
Content library
Every guide is built from a content library — its own, or one shared with other guides. This card shows which library the guide is using and lets you switch it. See Content libraries explained before changing this on a live guide, since switching changes every category, subcategory and section guests see.
Flo Translations
Available on Pro and Business. Turning this on lets guests read your guide in a language other than the one you wrote it in. You choose your guide's source language and which target languages guests can pick from. See Translate your guide with Flo Translations.
Appearance
Cover image, logo and colours. Covered in Design & Branding.
Active or inactive
Whether guests can open the guide. Inactive guides are visible only to you.
What guests never see
Your account profile, billing details and analytics are yours alone. Nothing in the Account area of the dashboard appears in a guide.
