Set your host contact details

Choose the name, phone number and email guests see in your guide, and decide how you want to be contacted.

Updated

Host contact details appear in the guide so guests can reach you. They are set per guide, which means different properties can show different contacts.

What you can set

  • Host name — the name guests see. Use whatever they will recognise from their booking.
  • Phone number — shown as a tap-to-call button.
  • Email address — shown as a tap-to-email button.

These are separate from your account details

Your account profile is for billing and signing in. What guests see comes from these guide settings.

Changing your account email does not change the email guests see, and vice versa. This trips up a lot of hosts, so it is worth checking both when something looks wrong.

If you would rather guests used a booking platform

Leave the phone and email fields empty. The contact buttons will not appear, and you can add a section explaining how you prefer to be reached — through Airbnb messages, for example.

Many hosts prefer this: it keeps the conversation on the platform, where it is recorded.

Managing several properties

If you use a management company or a different contact for some properties, set that contact on those guides only. Nothing is shared between guides unless you choose to share it.

Keep them current

A phone number that has changed is worse than no number at all, because a guest with a problem will try it first. Check contact details when you review a guide.
