Delete your account

What happens to your guides and information when you close your WelcomeFlo account, and what to do first.

Updated

You can request account deletion from your account settings.

Do these first

  1. Cancel any paid subscription. Deleting an account is not the same as cancelling a plan.
  2. Save anything you want to keep. Copy out instructions, notes and images you would struggle to rewrite.
  3. Remove QR codes and links. Anything printed in a property will stop working.
  4. Tell anyone who relies on the guides, including co-hosts and cleaners.

What happens to your guides

Deleting the account makes your guides unavailable. Guests opening a link or scanning a code see a not-found page.

If you only want to take a guide offline temporarily, deactivating it is the better option — it keeps all your content and can be reversed.

What is kept, and why

Some information is retained after closure where it is genuinely needed: billing and tax records, security and fraud-prevention records, and anything subject to a legal obligation or an unresolved dispute. Information also remains in backups for a period before being cleared.

The Privacy Policy sets out retention in detail.

If you change your mind

Contact us as soon as possible. Once deletion has completed, guides and content cannot be restored.
