What happens to old links and QR codes
How long a previous web address keeps working after a change, and when printed materials stop taking guests to your guide.

Changing a guide's web address is the only thing that affects links you have already shared. This is what happens when you do.
The first 90 days
Your old address redirects to the new one. Guests using an old link or scanning an old QR code arrive at your guide without noticing anything.
Up to three old addresses can redirect at the same time, so a guide that has been renamed more than once still honours the earlier links.
After 90 days
The redirect stops. An old link now shows a not-found page.
This is why the 90 days matter: it is the window in which to replace printed materials, not a permanent safety net.
After 180 days
Until then, your old address stays reserved to your account, so nobody else can claim it. After 180 days it becomes available for other hosts.
If you think you may want an old address back, do not leave it that long.
What never breaks a link
Editing content, renaming the guide, changing colours, adding sections, replacing images and updating recommendations all leave the web address untouched. Links and QR codes keep working.
Checking what guests see
The most reliable test is to open the old link on a phone that has never visited your guide. If it lands on the guide, the redirect is working.
