Create and price an Extra
Set up an offer from a template or from scratch, choose how it is priced, and decide whether requests need your approval.
Updated
An Extra is made up of a description, a price, and a few rules about how requests are handled.
Starting an offer
From Extras, choose to add an offer. Pick one of the ready-made templates — early check-in, late checkout, welcome hamper, mid-stay cleaning, pet fee, pool heating, baby equipment, airport transfer, equipment hire or a local experience — or start from a blank offer. A template arrives with a suggested description, category and pricing unit already filled in; everything is yours to edit once you have picked it.
How it is priced
Choose how the price works:
- Fixed price — a set amount, either per stay, per day, per item or per person, depending on what suits the offer
- Free — no charge, useful for something you offer as a courtesy but still want to track as a request
- Price on request — you send the guest a quote once you know the details, rather than setting a fixed price upfront
Some offers support variants — cots or high chairs under baby equipment, for example — so a guest chooses the specific item, and each variant can have its own price.
Deciding if requests need your approval
Some offers, like a welcome hamper, are fine to confirm automatically. Others — early check-in, pool heating, an airport transfer — usually depend on things only you can check, like the previous booking's cleaning schedule or a driver's availability. Set whether a request is confirmed straight away or waits for you to accept it.
Scheduling details
For offers tied to a date or time — like an airport transfer or a booked experience — set whether a date is required, how much notice you need, and how far in advance a guest can request it.
Publishing an Extra
An Extra only appears in a guide's Extras tab once you have added it to that guide, so you can offer different Extras — or different prices — across different properties.
