Add a PDF to your guide
Upload a document or import one from a link so guests can open manuals, permits and house rules in one tap.
Updated
Some information already exists as a document. Rather than retyping it, add it to the guide as a PDF.
Adding a PDF
Add a PDF content block to any subcategory. You can either upload a file from your device, or paste a link to one and import it.
Importing copies the file into your media library, so the document stays available in your guide even if the original link stops working.
The size limit is 10MB per file.
Naming it well
Guests see a file icon with a label you choose. Write the label as the thing itself — "Oven instructions" rather than "manual_v3_final.pdf".
If a guest cannot tell what a document is before opening it, most will not open it.
When a PDF is the right choice
PDFs work well for documents that already exist and are genuinely long: appliance manuals, building access instructions, parking permits.
They work badly for short information. A guest on a phone would rather read three lines in the guide than download a one-page document, so keep essentials such as the Wi-Fi password and check-out steps as ordinary sections.
Updating a document
Replacing the file updates it everywhere it appears. The link in the guide stays the same, so nothing needs re-sharing.
