Guests cannot see my recent changes
Why an edit might not appear straight away for a guest, and how to confirm what is actually published.
Updated
Edits to a guide are live as soon as you save. If a guest is not seeing one, work through these.
1. Did the change save?
Reopen the section in the editor and confirm the new text is there. An edit left in a field that was never saved is the most common explanation.
2. Is the section visible in this guide?
Sections can be shown or hidden per guide. If you manage several properties, it is easy to edit shared content while it is hidden in the guide you are testing.
Check the section's visibility for the specific guide the guest is using.
3. Is the guest looking at an old page?
A guest with the guide already open sees the version loaded when they opened it. Ask them to reload the page.
On a phone this means pulling down to refresh, or closing the tab and reopening the link.
4. Check what is actually published
Open the guide in a private browsing window. That shows the published version without your session, and is the quickest way to tell whether a change is live or not.
5. Are you editing the right guide?
With several properties open in different tabs, it happens. Confirm the guide name at the top of the editor matches the property you are testing.
Nothing above explains it?
Send us the guide address and the change you expected to see, and we will investigate.
